BBB has released new study on Job Scams

Employment scams are on the rise in the turbulent job market created by the COVID-19 pandemic, a new Better Business Bureau® (BBB®) study finds. BBB warns job seekers to verify employment offers to avoid illegal jobs, identity theft and fake checks to which millions are exposed annually.

These job scams have targeted people in West Plains, Joplin, Republic, and many other towns and communities in southern Missouri. If you participate in these illegal jobs, you could be found guilty of committing mail fraud or other crimes.
