Stephanie Garland, the regional director of the Springfield Better Business Bureau, spoke with Ozark Radio News in hopes to warn of phishing emails.
Garland reported of a Winona consumer of an email about a subscription purchase. The consumer had not ordered or bought anything and called the number in the email to stop the subscription. This is an email scam that seeks to trick consumers into calling the number in the email and giving up sensitive information.
