Be Pro Be Proud’s Draft Day series, consisting of interactive, dynamic technical career events connecting Arkansas high-schoolers with employers, training providers, and career resources in skilled technical careers, is coming to Mountain Home this Tuesday. Through a registration process and implementation of the YouScience Aptitude and Interest Assessment, students and employers will be matched for interviews based on corresponding interests, talents, and needs.
The event will also feature interactive demonstrations with Be Pro Be Proud’s Mobile Workshop, giving students an augmented reality experience of in-demand technical careers.
Representatives from 33 hiring employers across the state, Be Pro Be Proud, and students from 27 regional high schools.
Be Pro Be Proud Arkansas is a workforce development initiative led by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/Associated Industries of Arkansas (AIA) that connects students around the state to high-tech, high-paying technical careers. Through partnerships with state agencies, local industry, and higher education entities, Be Pro Be Proud is effectively working to replenish the professional workforce that has been experiencing a drastic decline. Be Pro Be Proud was launched in Arkansas in 2016 and has since licensed efforts in Alabama, Georgia, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
