Van Buren, MO. – The Ozarks can often be one of the best places to view the unpolluted night sky, considering the large stretches of wilderness in some locations. Those who love to stargaze may find their people during this weekend’s Dark Sky Festival at Big Spring.
Hosted by DarkSky Missouri, this event is scheduled to begin tomorrow evening at 4pm, and will continue into Saturday night through Sunday morning. It will include nature walks, talks with experts, and stargazing both Friday and Saturday.

Event plans may shift due to weather. While the event is planned to take place at Big Spring, roughly 4 miles south of Van Buren on Highway 103, a rain location is set for The Blue Heron restaurant in Van Buren.
