Birch Tree Man Arrested by MSHP for Burglary, Assault Charges

Shannon County, MO. – A man from Birch Tree has been arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol over the weekend, after breaking into a residence and assaulting the residents inside.

According to the arrest report, Sean Felts, 55 of Birch Tree was arrested on December 2nd at 7:34am for charges including Felony 1st Degree Burglary, Felony 3rd Degree Assault, and Felony 3rd Degree Assault of a Special Victim.

Pulling information from the probable cause statement on the case, it was revealed that Felts was arrested for breaking into a residence by kicking in the door on Monday, November 27th, and proceeding to strike multiple victims in the head. One victim is reported to be bound to a wheelchair, which has led to the charge of assaulting a special victim. The other victim was noted as having injuries that included a laceration on the head as well as one eye being swollen shut.

No trials or hearings have been scheduled as of yet.
