Birch Tree, MO. – Two people from Birch Tree have been injured in an overturn accident that occurred over New Years Eve.
On Sunday, the aforementioned pair were in a Dodge Ram, travelling westbound on Dry Creek Road, around two miles north of Birch Tree. The driver was identified as Sharon Henson, a 61-year-old Birch Tree resident. The crash report lists that at roughly 1:52pm, Henson ran off the right side of the roadway, which led to the vehicle overturning.
Henson was inflicted with moderate injuries in the accident, as was Jeani Calhoun, a 38-year-old, who was also from Birch Tree. Calhoun was not wearing her safety device. Both women were taken to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View.
Investigation on this crash was performed by Corporal M. Barron of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G. Assistance was provided by the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office, the Birch Tree Fire Department, and Corporal D.E. Rogers.
