West Plains, MO. – A Birch Tree teen is recovering in a local hospital after crashing his motorcycle into another vehicle. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred on Highway 99 at the intersection of 1st Street in Birch Tree at 8:12 p.m.
A northbound Kia Soul driven by Brooke Lievsay, age 23 of Alton, was attempting to make a left turn onto 1st Street when it was struck by a Yamaha 250 motorcycle driven by a 16-year-old male. The Kia received minor damage, and the Yamaha had moderate damage.

The teenage driver of the motorcycle suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment. Lievsay was not reported as being injured from the crash.
