West Plains, MO. – A local non-profit organization in the West Plains area, Birthday Blessings, is currently putting on a gift donation campaign through the month of July, with items being directed towards kids in need.
This campaign, which is called “Gifting Hope”, is being put on as a medium to help serve the almost 225 kids within Howell, Oregon, and Shannon Counties that Birthday Blessings provides for. The current goal for Gifting Hope is to collect 1,000 items for kids.
If you wish to donate, all unopened gifts are welcome, but some items are more in need than others. This includes sports balls, Legos, baby toys, toddler toys, fishing gear, craft kits for teens, and character backpacks for younger children. Donations should be dropped off at 603 Oregon Street in West Plains, by appointment. In addition, a collection box is set up at the First United Methodist Church in West Plains.
