Body of Driver Swept off of Ozark County Bridge Found

Ozark County, MO. – Last week, in late April, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office had announced that a man had gone missing after his truck was swept off a bridge. According to a recent report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, his body has been found.

Brian Richardson, 50 of Pottersville, has been officially identified as the victim in this incident. Richardson had attempted to cross the Warren Bridge access on Bryant Creek late at night on April 29th. After midnight, Richardson’s girlfriend had reported that his vehicle had been swept off, and search efforts were initiated. Richardson’s truck couldn’t be extracted from the waterway until 1pm later that day, and the driver was not found inside.

According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Richardson had exited the vehicle, was swept into the flood waters, and never resurfaced.

Richardson’s body was found and he was officially pronounced deceased on the morning of Saturday, May 4th.
