Officials recently released the identity of the man as being 23-year-old Corporal Robert Wilson. Wilson worked as a human resources non-commissioned officer who was assigned to the 84th Chemical Battalion at the base.

Fort Leonard Wood law enforcement and the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division do not have any further developments on the case. They are currently investigating the circumstances of the event to determine if there was any foul play.
