Boil Advisory in Effect for Section of West Plains After Large Water Main Leak

West Plains, MO. – A boil advisory is now in effect for citizens in West Plains who reside around an area of Thornburgh St after an apparent water main rupture occurred yesterday close to 1pm.

This break caused the street to close due to the torrent of water that was caught on camera by several residents, taking place on Thornburgh street from Jefferson to Lincoln Ave. While the origin of the break, how much water was lost, or the overall effect has not been publicly announced, a preemptive boil water advisory has been issued for the residents along this area.
