Brandsville, MO. – A Sunday collision between two vehicles has seriously injured two individuals, one local and one from New York state.
This crash happened during the evening hours of Sunday, April 7th on US 63 just near Brandsville. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, a 72-year-old Houston, MO. man was driving a Ford Van and crossed the roadway at roughly 8:15pm. They then struck a guard rail, returned to the roadway, and ended up striking a box truck head-on. Both vehicles were totaled.
Both the Houston man, identified as Ronald Nelson, and the driver of the box truck, Sergo Vacharadze, 55 of Brooklyn, NY., were seriously injured as a result. Vacharadze had to be transported via air ambulance to Cox South in Springfield. Nelson was taken to Ozarks Healthcare.
Trooper L.C. Pruiett of Troop G was the investigating Highway Patrolman on the scene.
