West Plains, MO. – A long-time problem piece of architecture on the edge of West Plains will be closed this Monday as crews work a construction project.
More specifically, the affected bridge in question is the single-lane bridge that connects the North end of Allen Street with County Road 2570, just North of the West Plains Elementary.
The Howell County Southern Commissioner, Billy Sexton, called the station and talked to us about this construction.
To summarize, this construction will begin on Monday, October 16th, and will continue up to 90 days. When the replacement is complete, the previous single lane bridge will be replaced with a 28ft wide bridge.
