West Plains, MO. – The West Plains School District Bridges program now has a shoe locker thanks to local groups. The West Plains Greenhouse and the Sunrise Rotary Club, and in conjunction with the Samaritan’s Feet, joined together to make this shoe locker available to local students.
The locker contains over 250 pairs of shoes in various sizes to help students who need new shoes. Students from several high school classes have volunteered to help organize and create the locker for their classmates.
The Bridges Program is open to families needing food, clothing, and hygiene items. If you or someone you know could use extra help, please stop by Bridges on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at 1013 North College Street (right across from the district transportation department). For more information about the Bridges program or to donate, please call 417-256-6150.
