Burglary in Ozark County Leads to Multiple Charges

An Timber Knob man is facing multiple felony charges after deputies say he admitted to burglarizing a business and was later found with more than $1,400 in cash.

According to a probable cause statement filed by the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies investigated a reported burglary and theft on June 3 in the Timber Knob area. A witness told investigators that Milton Oneill Hetrick admitted to breaking into the business and stealing money, later displaying a large amount of cash and claiming responsibility.

Deputies also spoke with a woman who reported Hetrick assaulted her during an argument. The report states she had visible injuries, and investigators confirmed she lives with Hetrick in a romantic relationship. When deputies located Hetrick, they found $1,456 in U.S. currency in his possession.

Based on witness statements, documented injuries, and the recovered cash, the sheriff’s office requested charges of second‑degree burglary, felony stealing, and third‑degree domestic assault. Hetrick was arrested following the investigation. Bond is $5,000.
