Houston, MO. – The Texas County Sheriff’s Office arrested a homeless man suspected of stealing food and other items from local properties.
Jeremiah R. Moser, age 41, is charged with burglary, stealing, and receiving stolen property.
On Thursday, Feb. 1st, Texas County Deputies received information from a citizen about a man walking in the area of Highway B and Morton Road near Houston that matched the images of a burglary suspect that had been taken by surveillance cameras in January.
Deputies made contact with Moser, who said he was from Ohio and had been homeless since Christmas 2023, and took him into custody.
In post-Miranda interviews, Moser denied any involvement in the burglary. The probable cause statement notes items from the burglary in Raymondville and a burglary in Dent County were found in his possession.
Moser is currently being held in the Texas County Jail on a $2,500 cash-only bond.
