Burn Bans in Effect in Arkansas, Reg Flag Warning Raised to Extreme in Areas of Missouri

Dry conditions and increased wildfire values continue within the Ozarks today, and recently burn bans have been put into effect in Arkansas, and Red Flag Warnings have increased in Missouri to range from “Significant” to “Extreme”.

As far as burn bans are concerned, they have been established within the town of Salesville, AR., as well as the entirety of Fulton, Sharp, and Searcy Counties. Meanwhile, in Missouri, the National Weather Service (NWS) has escalated their grading of the current Red Flag warnings to range from “Significant” to “Extreme”, with extreme being the highest grade of a red flag warning. Areas within the extreme category include parts of Douglas, Texas, Wright, and Howell Counties, with larger areas to the further west you look.
