Thomasville, MO. – A 2009 Bluebird Bus carrying the Koshkonong basketball team crashed last night at roughly 11:15, while traveling southbound on highway 99 north of Thomasville.
While details of why the crash happened are not clear, it appears that the bus, driven by Victoria Smith, 59 of West Plains, traveled off the right side of the roadway, and struggled to stay on the road.
This ultimately led to the bus traveling off the left side of the road to strike several trees and end up on its passenger side in the ditch. Injuries appear to be minor, with only one moderate injury.
This crash was investigated by Corporal JC Howell, and was assisted by Trooper M Baron and Trooper JJ Smith, all of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. More information will follow as it is released.
