Butler Children’s Park will be closed beginning Monday, February 10 and will remain closed until the demolition of the house is complete and all debris removed from the park grounds.
An auction selling items from inside the house was held at the Civic Center on February 4. Proceeds totaled $8,027.50 and will go to the city’s general fund. Simpson Excavating received the bid to take the house down at $1,150 a day.

The public will be notified once the park is open for children’s use.
