Cabool Fire Department Reports Several Fires Worked on Thursday

Cabool, MO. – Increased fire chances across the Ozarks have caused many fire departments to be running around the clock, and the Cabool Fire Department reported that they themselves worked several fires yesterday, which led to several damaged structures and a saved pet.

According to the social media announcement from the Cabool Fire Department, the string of fire calls started roughly around 3:30pm yesterday afternoon, February 29th.

The first call involved a residential fire with a trapped dog inside. The dog was rescued and the house was saved, with major damage to two areas of the structure.

The second call took place around Highway 181, where a wood stove started a fire that engulfed the homeowners firewood supply.

The last call took place on Zimmerman Street in Cabool for a chimney fire, which caused considerable damage to the chimney area. Despite the damage, the structure was saved.

In addition to these fire calls, medical calls were also received, and the Mountain Grove Fire Department provided assistance later in the day.
