A Cabool man is facing several felony charges after crashing his motorcycle while fleeing from law enforcement Sunday night north of Norwood.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 9:05 p.m. on May 17 along Route E, two miles north of Norwood. Troopers say a 2009 Honda motorcycle, driven by 23‑year‑old Landane R. Thomas of Cabool, failed to negotiate a curve while fleeing from officers and ran off the roadway.

Thomas, who was wearing a safety device, suffered minor injuries and was transported by Mercy EMS to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
Patrol records show Thomas is accused of:
- Felony resisting arrest by fleeing
- Felony driving while revoked or suspended
- Careless and imprudent driving involving an accident
- No insurance
- Stunt driving
- Exceeding the posted speed limit by 26 mph or more
