Cabool, MO. – The Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) has recently granted the Cabool School System a $400,000 grant.
This grant, which was created for the purpose of fostering healthy environments and encouraging good mental health practices within schools, was applied for earlier this year. With Cabool officially receiving the grant, it will be supplied in segments for the next 3 years.
The school system plans to put this money gained towards hiring a mental health provider that will be shared amongst other districts within the area to better provide access to mental health services to students.
This grant was made in part along with DESE’s associated mental health awareness programs, which can be read about by clicking here.
