Two items will be voted on during the August 2, 2022 Primary Election, one being the continuation of a sales tax currently in effect in the city of West Plains. The other item will turn the position of Prosecuting Attorney for Howell County into a full-time position.
Official Wording:
PROPOSITION
Shall the municipality of West Plains, Missouri, continue to impose a sales tax of one-half of one percent (1/2 of 1%) for the purpose of funding capital improvements, including the cost of maintaining and operating existing capital improvements made with the revenues raised by such tax?
Passage of this measure will not increase the city’s overall sales tax rate.
Shall the office of Prosecuting Attorney be made a full-time position in Howell County?
