Caulfield Teen Crashes into Mail Carrier Wednesday Morning

 

West Plains, MO. – A mail carrier with the United States Postal Service was injured in a two vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 160 near South Fork. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at 10:55 a.m. in the eastbound lane of the highway, two miles west of South Fork.

A 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Haley Kimmel, 19 of Caulfield, struck from behind a 2017 Jeep Wrangler driven by Paula Sanders, 40 of West Plains, while the Jeep was stopped to deliver mail. Kimmel had been wearing a seat belt and was uninjured in the crash. Sanders, as a mail carrier was exempt from wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.
