Mansfield, MO. – The City of Mansfield, Missouri, is asking its citizens to boil their water in the next few days due to a water main break.
The break occurred on Commercial Street near the post office earlier today. Water from the break is now present in front of the Post Office and is expected to freeze in the weather. The Main break is already repaired, and water samples are in route to Springfield. However, results are not expected to be returned until sometime Friday morning.
The City of Mansfield would additionally like to keep its citizens informed of situations like this and others through their text notification service.
To sign up, pick up an application at City Hall. There is no cost for this service.
For questions on the break, or for more information on the text notification service, contact Nancy Conley, City Clerk, at 417 924 8340.
