Mountain View, MO. – The City of Mountain View has released dates for their yearly Spring Cleanup, where residents can take the chance to apply some extra organization to their property with most items being taken away free-of-charge.

APRIL 21, 2025 through APRIL 25, 2025
This will give city residents a chance to clean up around their property and have most items hauled away free of charge. The extra items will be collected on the customers’ normal trash pick- up day ONLY!
**There will be a 2 yard limit (equivalent to a level pickup bed load!)**
Waste should be separated into 8 categories:
• Regular refuse: extra bags or boxed trash
• Large items: furniture, mattresses, wooden pallets, etc
• Tree limbs and brush
• Metal goods: washers, dryers, and all other metals & freon appliances
• Yard waste: bagged leaves and grass clippings in Bio-Bags only (.75 cents each) available for purchase at City Hall.
• Recyclable items should be placed at curb in blue Recycle bags (available at City Hall and free to city residents)
• Tires
• Car batteries
• Used oil
To protect workers from injury, all broken glass must be boxed and labeled. Small items must be bagged or boxed. Items that will not be collected include any waste that is considered hazardous, such as asbestos, waste from major demolition or renovation jobs, and items piled onto trailers or trucks.
No hazardous waste, paint, pesticides, herbicides, antifreeze, etc!!!
