City of Mountain View Announces They Will Remove Brush/Limbs with Trash This Week Only

Mountain View, MO. – The City of Mountain View has announced that this working week only, September 23rd through the 27th, they will be collecting limbs and brush as a part of their trash routes, but rules are in place for participation. These rules will be posted exactly as they were sent below.

Brush/Limb removal will be Sept 23-27, 2024

  • LEAVES AND GRASS CLIPPINGS MUST BE IN BIO BAGS-bags can be purchased at City Hall for .75 cents each.
  • NO BOARDS OR TRASH IN BRUSH PILES!!BRUSH ONLY.
  • BRUSH CAN BE UP TO 10’ IN LENGTH&STACKEDPARALLEL WITH THE ROAD AND WITHIN 5FT OF THE STREETso that our crew can access them easily.
  • NO BRUSH TO BE STACKED IN ALLEY WAYS.
  • IF YOUR HOUSE BORDERS A STATE HIGHWAY AND CITY STREET, BRUSH MUST BE PUT ON THE CITY STREET SIDE.
  • OUR CREW WILL BE USING A GRAPPLE TO LOAD YOUR BRUSH. MAKE SURE NOTHING IS BEHIND, OR NEAR BY THE PILES!!

***RESIDENTS WHO HIRE PRIVATE TREE TRIMMERS SHALL ALSO HIRE THEM TO REMOVE THE TREE TRIMMINGS***


 

The City also reminds residents that the city dump is open 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday, and any brush or limbs can be dropped off free of charge by residents.
