Thayer, MO. – A boil advisory in now in-effect for the City of Thayer after a water main break forced city workers to shut off the flow for repairs. The break happened at roughly 6am on the intersection of 6th and Chestnut. The freezing temperatures further complicated things by freezing nearby streets.
However, the City repaired the leak and samples will be sent off for test as soon as possible. However, this does mean that until sometime early to mid next week, the City of Thayer will be under the boil advisory.
