Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive coming to Cabool on April 1

All blood types are needed – Successful donors will receive a T-shirt that will promote local pride

March 23, 2021 – Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood and plasma to patients at 44 area healthcare facilities, reports a shortage of all blood types. While COVID-19 vaccinations are in progress, the turnout at area blood drives is still being negatively affected. On the other side, blood transfusions in area hospitals are taking place at levels not seen in several years. Blood drives around the CBCO service region serve a vital function in preserving the good health of our community.

CBCO donors provide all the blood for patients at all Springfield area hospitals as well as dozens of others. Cabool area residents will have the opportunity to donate at the following location:

Cabool High School
Alumni Gym
1025 Rogers Ave., Cabool
Thursday, April 1 – 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Successful donors will receive a navy blue T-shirt that tells others how proud you are to be a “locally sourced” lifesaver.

Appointments are strongly encouraged for this blood drive but are not necessary. Make an appointment to give at https://www.cbco.org/donate-blood/. Masks are required at this blood drive. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.

On behalf of local hospital patients, CBCO thanks blood donors from across the region for giving life to your community.
