WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The West Plains Council on the Arts is reminding people that the Community Messiah Sing is scheduled for this Sunday, November 3 at 2:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 112 Aid Ave., West Plains.
Directed by Larry Dame, this event is sponsored by West Plains Council on the Arts, with partial funding provided by Missouri Arts Council.
There is open seating for the event, and no reservations required. Non-singers are welcome to listen and enjoy.
Musicians include soprano Sylvia Hershenson, alto Melody Miller, tenor Jordan Hall, bass Brian Groe, and accompanist Becky Quimby.
The Christmas portion of “Messiah”, using the G. Schirmer score, will be performed. The audience is invited to sing along in these favorite Messiah choruses, including the Hallelujah Chorus.
