AVA, Mo. — The Douglas County Council on Aging recently made a donation to Care to Learn Ava, helping provide local students with essential health, hunger and hygiene resources.
Ava R-1 Schools thanked the organization for its generosity and continued commitment to supporting children and families throughout the community.
The Care to Learn program works to address students’ basic needs so they can focus on learning and be successful in the classroom. School officials said community partnerships such as the one with the Council on Aging make a meaningful difference in the lives of Ava students.
“Together, we are making a positive impact, one student at a time,” the district stated.
