Court venue changed for local man accused of hidden camera crimes

West Plains, MO. – The continuing prosecution of a man charged with hidden camera crimes at a Texas County convenience store will be moving to Franklin County. 

Patrick Pitcher of Hartville is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor child, possession of child pornography, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon – subsection 11, and invasion of privacy of a victim less than 18 years of age, all felonies.

On May 16, a motion for a change of venue out of the circuit was granted. Judge John Beger will remain assigned to the case. A standard discovery was filed on July 21 and the next scheduled court date is set for August 22 for the change of venue at the Texas County Courthouse.

Pitcher was arrested on January 12, 2023, after a hidden camera was discovered in Casey’s General Store East in Cabool on January 3rd. The probable cause statement stated that over 154 videos of people had been taken using that bathroom.

Pitcher is currently free on bond with stipulations.
