Criminal Motion Hearing scheduled for one of the men accused of killing Birch Tree woman during burglary

West Plains, MO. – The first of two men charged with the murder of Barbara Lynn of Birch Tree went before the court on February 1, 2023. Joseph Proffer and Stanley Kenaga, Jr. are charged with the murder of 77-year old Lynn during a burglary in April 2020.

Proffer’s attorney went before the court on Wednesday and made three motions. The first was a motion for discovery, the second was a motion for continuance, and the final was a notice of hearing.
