Birch Tree, MO. – The wanted man who was in a stand-off with the Howell and Shannon County Sheriff’s Office has been taken into custody.
Incoming reports stated that the stand-off began with Shannon County Deputies responding to a call in the earlier hours of Wednesday, October 19, in which a man with active warrants out of Howell County was identified. This led to the individual barricading themselves in a trailer residence within Birch Tree, MO.
Howell County Sheriff’s Deputies, SWAT, and Shield units were dispatched to assist at the scene. Recent reports from Dispatch offices appears to be that the stand-off has ended with the wanted man being apprehended without issue, and no injuries being sustained. The suspect was taken into custody at 8:15 a.m.
