Day of Reflection Held at Lincoln School

Lincoln School hosted a Day of Reflection on Monday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, in West Plains. Crockett and Tonya Oaks, Founders of Lincoln School Project, hosted and led the event, which included music by Bobby Reid, as well as a group singing of “Lift Every Voice and Sing”.

Speakers included MSU-West Plains English Professors Dr. Craig Albin and Dr. Phillip Howerton, as well as a video presentation of Dr. King’s speech, “What is Your Life’s Blueprint?”, a speech delivered by Dr. King in 1967, just six months prior to his assassination.
