West Plains, MO. – Next Wednesday, the City of West Plains will be having a mini celebration centered around an old-time legendary local, Porter Wagoner.
This event will be happening at the Ozark Heritage Welcome Center, 2999 Porter Wagoner Boulevard. A food vendor, live music, a dedication ceremony, and a live chainsaw carving demonstration will take place during this event. Food will be provided by South Fork Lunch Box, and music is set to be performed by Dennis “Haxaw” Bottoms, who once place with Porter Wagoner. In addition to the additional wooden sculpture of Wagoner’s guitar, another carving will be made to go along with it. Lastly, the city will be making some announcements during this event, so make sure to attend this event next Wednesday at 11am to get a sneak peek into future activities.
