Domestic Violence and Negative Contact with Police, Mountain Grove Man is Arrested

Mountain Grove, MO. – A man from Mountain Grove has been arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department, after Deputy responds to an assault call, and what the Sheriff’s Office has described as “negative contact”.

Deputy Box & Deputy Evans were the responding deputies to this call on August 12th, where an assault was reported on Rural Route 2, box 233 in the area of Mountain Grove. Box then made “negative contact” with John Sudderth, 39.

A Formal charge for Sudderth states 1st Degree Assault or Attempt – Serious Physical Injury or Special victim. Bond for Sudderth was set at $25,000 cash only, with various conditions attached, including no contact with his victim or family, no weapons, CPS supervision & alcohol testing, and a court approved address away from his wife and children.
