Doniphan, MO. – On February 24, 2024 a crash occurred as a vehicle crossed over the center line and struck a vehicle head-on, resulting in injury and the totaling both vehicles.
This crash took place in Ripley county on US 160, 2 miles west of Fairdealing, Mo. At 12:33 am on Saturday, February 24, 2024, Doniphan resident, Phillip Haney, a 58 year old male, was traveling eastbound when he crossed over the center line and struck a vehicle traveling westbound, driven by Jenna Westfall, a 20 year old female, also of Doniphan, Mo.
Crash reports listed Jenna Westfall’s injuries as minor and Philip Haney’s as moderate. They were both transported via ground ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports Westfall was not wearing a safety device when her vehicle was struck. It is unclear whether Philip Haney was wearing any safety device; however, he was charged for driving while intoxicated when he struck the oncoming vehicle.
The investigation of the crash was performed by Trooper B.T. Hart, and assistance was provided by Corporal E.M. Westmoreland, Corporal C.E. Leach, and Trooper E.N. Stinson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop E.
