Dora Driver Injured in Early Evening Crash

Dora, MO. – A collision with a deer around the area of Highway CC near Dora has led to the serious injuries of the driver in the crash.

This latest crash report comes to us from Corporal D.J. Johnson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.

The report lists that Gregory Hambelton, a 51-year-old Dora resident was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger Eastbound. At roughly 5:00pm, Hambelton struck a deer on Highway CC, which caused him to then travel off the right side of the roadway and strike a tree.

The Ranger was totaled in the accident and Hambelton suffered serious injuries, for which he was transported to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.

It is unknown if Hambelton was wearing a safety device or not.
