Dora man arrested for burglary, vehicle theft

Houston, MO – A Dora man has been arrested in connection with a reported burglary and stolen motorcycle in the Cabool area. On September 14, a Texas County Deputy investigated these and other thefts from storage units in Cabool. The Cabool Police Department had identified Fred Tandy as a possible suspect. A Cabool police officer traveled to Ozark County to with the assistance of the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office to locate Tandy. The stolen motorcycle was located at Tandy’s residence and he was arrested. During his transport to the Texas County Jail, Tandy admitted to the vehicle theft. 

Fred J. Tandy III, 51 of Dora, is charged with Burglary 2nd degree and Stealing a Motor Vehicle, both felonies. Tandy was held in the Texas County Jail pending $200,000 Bond.

These charges are an accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
