Dora, MO – The Dora R-III School District has announced the hiring of two new educators for the upcoming school year, with Lindsay Sellars stepping in as the new Music Department Director and Jordan Hunter taking on the role of Title I Director.
Lindsay Sellars – Music Department Director
Lindsay Sellars, a Dora High School graduate, returns to her alma mater as the new Music Department Director. Sellars holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Arkansas State University and brings a diverse background in music and education. She is an experienced pianist and vocalist, actively involved in her church’s praise and worship team.
In addition to her musical expertise, Sellars and her husband, Jonathan, operate a family farm and raise dachshunds at Abundant Life Canines. She expressed that she is looking forward to helping students explore music and develop an appreciation for the arts.
Jordan Hunter – Title I Director
Jordan Hunter, another Dora native, has been named the district’s new Title I Director. Hunter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Missouri State University and a Master’s degree in Reading Instruction from William Woods University.
She joins the Dora School District after seven years of teaching experience at Richards Elementary School in West Plains, where she worked with both third and second-grade students. Hunter has a strong background in literacy education and has emphasized her commitment to supporting student achievement in her new role.
Both Sellars and Hunter are Dora alumni, now returning to contribute to the education of students in their hometown. The district is confident that the new teachers’ experience and local connections will benefit students and staff alike.
