Ava, MO. – A man from Douglas County has been arrested on meth-related charges after a traffic stop on October 26th.
The traffic stop began with Corporal Nelson and Sheriff Chris Degase making contact with Mark Lambert, 53 of Ava. During the stop, Lieutenant Wallace and K9 Kain were called in to assist.

K9 Kain alerted to the vehicle for the presence of illegal narcotics. A further search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and a loaded firearm in the vehicle. A warrant was issued and Lambert was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance – Meth, and Unlawful Use of a Firearm.
Lamberts bond was set at $2,500 with conditions that include weekly drug testing and more. Lambert has since posted his bond.
