Ava, MO. – According to a report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, a Grand Jury has indicted William Wolfe, 56 of Ava, MO, for a murder case from September 2020.
The indictment was issued for 1st Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, Abandonment of a Corpse, Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, 5 counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Resisting Arrest.

The Murder was investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Degase advises that nearly every Deputy in his office assisted with this case.
At the time of Wolfes arrests on September 27, 2020 Wolfe was currently on parole for Delivery of a controlled substance a case that was worked by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in February of 2019.
Wolfe was returned to the Department of Corrections for violating his terms of Parole pending these formal charges.
