The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office participated in the Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Enforcement Campaign conducted September 19-25, 2021.
During the enforcement effort, officers issued a total of 22 warnings, 5 citations, and 1 felony arrest: (4) Seatbelt warnings, (1) Following Too Close Warning, (3) Stop Sign Warnings, (2) C&I Driving Warnings, (1) Speeding Warning, (6) Other HMV Warnings, (6) Other Non-HMV Violations Warning,: (1) Citation for DWI, (1) Citation for Fail to Stop at Stoplight, (1) Citation for Careless Driving involving an Accident, (1) No Motorcycle Endorsement, and (1) Resisting by Fleeing.
The officers did not issue any Child safety belt violation tickets. The Sheriff’s Office wants to thank the public for protecting your children as you travel during these times. Remember to always buckle up and keep you and your children safe.
