Douglas County, MO. – Late yesterday, June 13, 2024, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department posted on its Facebook page, that they found puppies at the Roadside Park.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department was asking anybody in the area to go pick up and rescue the puppies. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County does not have a shelter or animal control. In their Facebook post, they stated that they contacted every shelter and Humane Society and no one could take them. They are asking for anyone who can take them in to pick up the puppies. They also ask that if you do you call and let the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office know they were picked up and safe. Before you make the drive to pick them up, please call the Sheriff’s Department to see if they have been picked up already.
