On March 25, 2025, Shala Williams was arrested in Wright County on a Douglas County Warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful possession of Drug Paraphernalia bond was set at $1500, cash only. The warrant was the result of an investigation conducted by Sgt. Aaron Box and Sheriff Chris Degase after they responded to a domestic assault at the Williams and Jeffery Scott Evans residence during the early morning hours of March 14, 2025. Evans had fled the area before Law Enforcement arrived. Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia were seized form within the residence.
A warrant was issued for Jeffery Scott Evans for Domestic Assault 1st, Armed Criminal Action, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $25,000 cash only.
On March 26, 2025, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Ava Police Department served a search warrant at Jeffery Scott Evans’s residence north of Ava, where Evans was taken into custody.
Evans refused to comply with directives to get on the ground. Evans was assisted to the ground by Sheriff Degase, where Evans continued to resist arrest and not comply, ending with Evans being taken into custody. Additional methamphetamine was located within the residence.
Evans was arrested on the $25,000 warrant with additional charges of resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance forthcoming.
