Douglas County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Trafficking Arrest

Drury, MO. – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office recently issued a release of information on an April event that involved a traffic stop turned drug trafficking arrest.

On April 28th, law enforcement received a call during the evening hours of a reckless driver on County Road 246 near the Drury/Champion area of Douglas County. At around 7:20pm, Deputies located the vehicle and found Lorraine Tackitt, 57 of Caulfield inside. After investigation, she was taken into custody for charges including a DWI and Possession of Meth.

When Tackitt was taken in, another bag of methamphetamine was found on her person, which led to an additional charge of Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Bond for Tackitt was set at $3,500, which she has since posted to leave custody.
