Deputies searched the creek area and later located Lambert at a residence on County Road V‑241. She was wearing clothing matching the description and admitted being at the creek but denied threatening anyone. Sgt. Aaron Box noted Lambert appeared to be exhibiting bruxism, which he associated with possible methamphetamine use.
Deputies found a shovel in Lambert’s wagon that matched the children’s description of the object they believed was a rifle. The grandmother stated the item had a “black barrel” and “brownish color,” and the report notes the shovel was consistent with that description.
During the attempted arrest, Lambert allegedly tensed, turned away, and pulled her hands from deputies, leading to a resisting‑arrest charge. She was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Lambert is charged with Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony and two counts of 4th‑degree assault, accused of causing the victims to fear death or bodily harm.
