The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce joined Arkansas State University–Mountain Home on Tuesday for the unveiling of the new Dr. Roger Simons Promise Scholarship at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center. Beginning with the Class of 2027, eligible graduates from Cotter, Flippin, Norfork, and Yellville‑Summit High Schools will be able to attend ASUMH with scholarship support covering all remaining tuition and mandatory fees after other financial aid is applied.
Chamber officials say the program represents a major investment in local students and the region’s future workforce, opening the door to higher education for generations to come.
