The latest information from the US Drought Monitor has dropped and the results are obvious: the droughts have worsened steadily due to a lack of moisture.
Many different organizations are also reminding the public that many burn bans are still in effect. Most counties within the listening area have active burn bans, and citizens are asked to remain cautious as conditions remain primed for wildfires to develop.

With rain projected for next week, hopes are that some of that will be retaining within the soil, helping to alleviate the consistently dry conditions.
